Knott Mill Fair, Manchester, 1834
Although in the early part of the week the weather was unfavourable, this annual scene of frivolity appeared to have lost none of its attractions for the holiday people; and judging from the crowds who flocked up to the various exhibitions, we should suppose that the exhibitors have had a good harvest. Amongst the attractions there were no fewer than six theatres open, besides Wombwell's Menagerie, containing the Lion Wallace and the Tigress who were said to have made their escape some time ago. Ryan's company of equestrians also claimed a considerable share of attention, and was well supported. The fair will terminate this evening.
